FaceCommand ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our software and website. We are based in Elk Grove, California, USA.

2. The Software: No Data Collection

FaceCommand software processes all facial gesture data locally on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to:

• Video footage from your webcam
• Images of your face
• Facial gesture data or biometric measurements
• Your gesture profiles or settings
• Usage patterns or in-app analytics

All processing occurs on your computer. No facial, video, or biometric data ever leaves your device.

3. License Activation

License activation requires an internet connection for the Software to verify your license key with our licensing system. During activation we receive only:

• Your license key
• A non-identifying device identifier (used to enforce the two-computer limit)
• The approximate time of activation

This data is used solely to validate your license and enforce the license terms. It is not used for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.

4. Purchases: Lemon Squeezy as Payment Processor

Payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC). When you make a purchase, Lemon Squeezy collects the information necessary to complete the transaction, which typically includes:

• Name and billing address
• Email address
• Payment method details (card number, etc.)
• Country and tax-relevant information

FaceCommand never receives or stores your full payment card details. We receive only the information needed to deliver your license and provide support: your email address, order number, country, and (if applicable) company name. Lemon Squeezy's handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.

5. Website

Our website may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand traffic patterns (e.g., page views, referral source, country). Any analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors. We do not use advertising trackers, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing cookies.

6. Email & Support

If you contact us at support@facecommand.net or sales@facecommand.net, we store your email and the contents of your message for the purpose of responding and improving the product. Support emails are retained for up to 3 years and then deleted unless they relate to an ongoing customer relationship.

7. Data Retention

• Order records: retained as long as required by law (typically 7 years for tax records) by Lemon Squeezy. We retain your email and order number for as long as your license is active plus 2 years.
• Support emails: up to 3 years.
• Website analytics: aggregated data only, no long-term individual record.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
